Information: The AQUA WASH range meets all the criteria of a top-of-the-range etching ink. It has a high pigment concentration, identical to that of conventional inks, allowing the reproduction of all printmaking techniques: direct engraving with burin, drypoint, cradle (black manner), indirect engraving with etching or aquatint, but also monotype and relief engraving techniques such as lino engraving and woodcutting. Aqua Wash ink is water soluble and therefore does not require the use of toxic solvents, but allows you to clean your tools and hands with soapy water.

Aqua Wash Charbonnel etching ink


Art schools and engraving workshops are now looking for water-soluble solutions (safety, respect of the environment...). Aqua Wash inks are real fatty inks for all techniques in chalk and relief. The binder is composed of several emulsified oils, whose characteristics of adhesion, flexibility, yellowing, are identical to those of traditional oils. The only difference is the ability to clean tools and hands with water.

24 shades + 2 additives based on water-soluble and non-toxic emulsified oil
Hand and equipment cleaning with soapy water
High lightfastness
High pigment concentration and good miscibility
Sticky and easy to wipe off
Use on less humid paper than conventional inks
Dries the same as conventional inks
Non-waterproof once dry
